Hailing from Bristol, England, Banksy produces street art that has popped up internationally ( including right here on Melrose Ave). Despite preferring to live in relative anonymity, Banksy recently premiered his first feature film- a documentary called “Exit Through the Giftshop.” We’re hoping the movie might shine a stronger light on this fascinating character, however many critics are saying the doc is more likely to raise questions than provide answers. The film itself revolves around an eccentric shop-keeper-turned-documentary-maker who attempts to locate and befriend Banksy, with surprising and thought-provoking results.
In short, we can’t wait for its LA Premiere. For those of you on the West Coast-It’ll be playing at the Sunset Arclight as well as the Landmark theater.
